All businesses operating from a fixed commercial location in Laguna Woods are required to register with the City of Laguna Woods within 30 calendar days of beginning to engage in business, within 30 calendar days of any transfer in ownership, and annually each September. Home-based businesses are not required to register but may do so voluntarily. Organizations that are tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code are not required to register.
Business registration is intended to promote the City of Laguna Woods’ communication with local businesses and assist in identifying and responding to violations of the Laguna Woods Municipal Code.
