The City of Laguna Woods’ Planning Division is responsible for ensuring that development occurs in a manner consistent with the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”), Laguna Woods General Plan, Laguna Woods Zoning Code, and other laws, plans, rules, and regulations. The Planning Division is a part of the Planning & Environmental Services Department and coordinates the processing of new development and redevelopment project applications. The Planning Division is also responsible for certain long-range planning functions such as preparing updates of the Laguna Woods General Plan and Laguna Woods Zoning Code.
